A Court of Frost and Starlight
A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.5
By Sarah J. Maas
TheStory
After the war with Hybern, Ferye, Rhys, and the gang enjoy the first solstice since Feyre became High Lady of the Night Court. Throughout this time, the characters all journey along various aspects of life since the war ended.
TheReview
This novella is told mainly from the perspective of Feyre and Rhys (first person), Mor (third person), and Cassian and Nesta (third person) in preparation for A Court of Silver Flames.
Honestly, it’s pretty boring. Mostly, it’s meant to serve as a bridge between the end of A Court of Wings and Ruin and the next book, A Court of Silver Flames. So we get some insight into Cassian and Nesta and where their relationship stands prior to ACOSF starting.
It’s kind of like what you want to have after a really good book ends - a glimpse into the “happily ever after” - but there isn’t really any action.
If you are going to continue from the main series to read ACOSF (Cassian and Nesta’s story), I suppose I would recommend reading it but you could still get by without it. It’s not necessary to the storyline at all. However, it is a very simple read… could be done in less than a day.
