TheStory
Max has been captured and lost his memories. Tissanah is working to do everything in her power to rescue him all while trying to lead the rebellion of the slaves. Meanwhile, Aefe has been brought back to life by Caduan. The Fey - led by Caduan, the Arans - led by Nura, and the human slaves - led by Tissanah, are all at each others’ throats, causing utter mayhem. And to top it all off, everyone is in search of the three magical objects that can end or save the entire world. Everything has a price. And power demands sacrifice.
TheReview
Wooo-ah my goodness… This book was l-o-o-o-o-ng. Basically for the vast majority, the entire world is just one big giant clusterf*ck. Everyone is battling everyone and every wants vengeance, death, or absolution. Wild.
Caduan and Aefe’s story is actually very sweet and heartbreaking and lovely and filled with dynamicness. Those two are just so many wonderful things together. Between their story start in the last book and this book - I’m very satisfied.
Tissanah and Max are everything that they’ve been in the last two books. All noble and righteous and obsessive and blah blah blah. But we still love them for it.
The final battle is an amalgamation of everything that has been happening over the last three books (obviously, it’s a final book in a series) but it all really comes to a head in this one final moment. It was such a satisfying ending.
I won’t have a book hangover or anything from this series. Between the over 1800 pages in the whole series, I’ve had plenty of this world. Not too much but definitely enough for me. I’m satisfied and ready for my next read.
