So, this book is really cute - single dad, uppity New Yorker, two little kids. But it was just that - cute. It wasn’t anything overly fantastic. Nothing super special to note. It was a quick and easy read. Relaxing. Chill. 

If you want a light romance, with no frills, and you like a cowboy romance, I’d recommend it. 

There are SO MANY of Maggie Gates’ books that I absolutely adore, so this one just feel short for me. I liked it but I wasn’t that impressed. Christian is such a dad(dy) though and I did completely love him. Cass is seriously such a cold little witchy thing in the beginning that I honestly didn’t like her. I liked having to get to know her to love her, just like the MMC did. She grew on me.

It is not remotely in my top favorites of books I’ve read. Still, it was cute, quiet, and sweet. The ending set up for Ray’s story and I am very excited to read his book. And Christian deserved an HEA, so I’m happy he got it.
