Hans has been living in a quiet suburb while he hunts the man that caused the death of his family. I am so conflicted about this book. Don't get me wrong… I loved it. But some parts were just absolutely wild and I can’t decide if they were just the right amount of weird or if they were absolutely cringy. 

Cassie is a sweet and innocent little woman and Hans is FREAK. But like the kind we like to read about. And Cassie is also a freak. Like, how does she not get embarrassed by the things she does? I had second-hand embarrassment. But turns out she’s freaky enough for Hans because she loves his psychoticness - just proving that there is, in fact, someone for everyone. 

They both sound like nerds and act like psychos. 

Something that I just could not get past was the insta-nickname “Butterfly.” I get how Hans came up with it but he immediately calls her that the first time they speak and she doesn’t find it weird? Or ask about it? Bizarre. She doesn’t know him at all and she doesn’t at least inquire about why he’s calling her that? Okay. 

It was a really good ending to the series. The epilogue has the POVs of the characters from the previous books. It summed up the series nicely but wasn’t necessarily my favorite in the series.
