Nothing Less Than Everything

By Maggie Gates

TheStory

Interior designer Wren Porter meets Tatum Bryant to renovate his penthouse. The two quickly fall into bed together. At the first Red Cocks football game of the season, famous football player TJ Bryan Jr.Tatum - accidentally tackles one of the Red Cocks team cheerleaders.

Uh-oh. Wren is the cheerleader and TJ Bryant Jr. is actually Tatum.

Since relationships between players and cheerleaders are against the league’s code of conduct, the two end up sneaking around. Now, they have to figure out if their relationship is something they can maintain in the long term.

TheReview

I really have no interest in sports romances, but this was the last Maggie Gates book I haven’t read that I thought sounded decent. So, I dove in.

It is very heavily centered around sports but the relationship part is still fairly cute. They make a good couple and it was sweet and simple to read.

Keeping the sports out of it, since it isn’t my jam and it was heavily centered on that, I liked it okay.

Tatum was definitely written by a woman but it makes him swoony. Wren isn’t anything special but she is a strong FMC - independent and what not. Essentially, it’s about the two of them figuring out their relationship in regards to their respective futures.

It’s a light and breezy story. No big surprises or wild twists. Cute and quick to read. I liked it okay but I didn’t love it. Then again, that’s fairly high praise from me considering the setting of the story. If you are a fan of sports romances, you might like it better than me.
