The Binding Chronicles #3
By Elayna R. Gallea
TheStory
Luna and Sebastian are on the run after a deadly encounter with Queen Marguerite. Being fugitives isn’t easy, especially when the throne belongs to a tyrant and it’s up to Sebastian and Luna to save the realm.
In addition to saving the realm, the two lovers must deal with the prophecy, the darkness, the Blood Moon, the bond to the queen, and the secrets of their tether. It is time for them to prepare for the battle of their lives.
TheReview
Essentially, the entire first portion is Sebastian and Luna on the run and working to break his bond to the queen while also trying to wake Marius. It is interesting but not the best part of the story. The best part is the last half of the book - when everything comes to a head.
There are a few chapters with Queen Marguerite’s POV, which was an interesting little surprise I didn’t expect. It basically just explains why she’s such an atrocious person.
Now, I am just not. a. fan. of divine intervention. It just seems so unlikely that they would intervene in fate. What’s the point of the struggle?! But whatever… maybe that’s just me.
On the opposite side of my issues with all that, Isvana was a fun character to add.
It’s difficult to go into much detail about the book without spoilers, so I’ll leave it at that. I liked it, but IMHO, the other two were so much better. This one mostly answers the questions left from the last two books, but it wasn’t that great in comparison to the other two.
