The first half of this book FINALLY gives a break from all the CONSTANT horrendousness surrounding our beloved characters. It is still a page turner but there is finally some light and goodness. For a while…

THEN EVERYTHING GOES TO HELL! Honestly, why do I let these authors torture me so? How have I read 7 of these books? Truly, it’s a love/hate relationship. Cause it’s such a good read but I want to stop because I can’t handle it but I can’t because I need to know everythiiiiiiiiing.

I would just like ONE WIN. Is that too much to ask?!

About 3/4 of the way in, it. goes. dooooown.

I mean, no spoilers, but holy crap.

There is so much relationship building, action, and change throughout this book. It might arguably be the best in the series so far.

And the ending might be my least favorite. As per usual, the authors love to throw a wrench in all my hopes and dreams and rip my heart out of my chest. Do I love them for it? Absolutely.
