A year after Jameson and Emily’s stopover one night stand, Emily walks into Jameson’s office at new job at Miles Media. The two had an instant attraction that stuck with them both but now they are in the real world.

And boy, do their personalities and lifestyles clash. Are they actually connected on a deeper level or was it just a one night stand that was never meant to be more?

Jameson is a controlling little feisty pants and Emily will not bow to his whims. Dude, they fight so much. Such a back and forth between the two of them. It’s pretty funny with their insta-attraction and constantly being at each others’ throats.

But it could’ve had more good banter - the opportunity was right there. It’s sort of like friends with benefits but enemies to lovers but not real enemies. And instant attraction. So friends with benefits. Lol. 

It’s a workplace romance but it’s not a forbidden thing so there isn’t a lot of drama there. In fact, there isn’t a whole lot of drama at all. It’s mostly just the two MCs bickering and sort of wanting to be together but not really meshing well. 

However, when sh*t hits the fan, it really hits the fan. Everything horrible happens all at once. And Jameson is so mean. But Emily is also an idiot.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the ending or even the epilogue. 

It was a fun, light read. Nothing really captivating but I was wanting a simple, billionaire romance with some fun and spice, a classic third act breakup, and HEA - so, it delivered on that. I just wasn’t overly impressed. But I am excited for Tristan’s story so… let’s go see.
