Kate gets an online pen pal with whom she becomes friends over the course of their chats. Meanwhile, she also starts up a relationship with her horrible boss, Elliot Miles.

After realizing they are one and the same, Kate develops feelings for Elliot but doesn’t tell him that she knows he is also her pen pal. However, Elliot isn’t dubbed Casanova by the press for no reason. And Kate might not get to have her happily ever after.

Sooo…

I was just not able to get into their chemistry at all. I liked the relationship and the idea of it but I didn’t really buy the chemistry.

That being said, it was pretty funny and entertaining to watch them fight and bicker. It was a bit basic but their arguments and relationship was kind of cute. 

So… Kate is just going to ignore the fact that she’s lying to Elliot while they fall for each other? I feel like her inner argument should have been much more a part of the story. All I could think about was the fact that she was lying to him.

But that’s not even the big blow up! The actual twisteroo was a total shock to me and made me actually like the book way more than I did through the first 3/4 of it. 

It was cute and light. I wasn’t super into the chemistry but the relationship as a whole grew on me more than I thought it would. Especially with the twist before the end. Solid 3 stars - liked it but didn’t love it.
