TheStory

When City happens upon a stranded Suzy on the side of a dark road, both of their lives take a turn. Suzy is a perfectionist control freak that has her life completely mapped out in her head. All she wants is a good job, a stable man, and to live that white-pick-fence life. Fate has other plans.

City has never been the man looking for love. Ever since he had his heart crushed in college, he’s been living his best bachelor life.

Their chance encounter on the side of the road makes City question his bachelor lifestyle and causes Suzy to question everything about her “picture perfect” life.

One night of passion changes the course of their lives, Suzy and City start to fall for each other. But when secrets are revealed, their relationship might not survive.

There isn’t a whole lot to say about these two. Predictable? Yes. Well, sometimes. A one night stand with a hot tattooed biker? Yes, please.

But let’s talk about Suzy. She is condescending and judgemental. But CITY <3 <3 <3. Even though Suzy is uptight (bordering on rude), City is into her. Makes sense. Yin and yang and all that. He shows her that there is another side to him other than just a tatted biker. So she gets more likable as the book goes on.

This book was just a cute read. It was simple, short, and quick. No third act breakup like many of these modern romances have. No big surprises. The couple just slowly and sweetly fell in love.

There were a few super cute scenes that made me get tummy flutters. So sweet.

A fun book to pass the time.
