Coming up after all the Chicago Gallos are paired off, Angelo and Tilly’s wedding is upon the family. All the Gallos from Chicago and Florida get together to celebrate love, union, and healing. Many of the Florida Gallo kids are grown up, either young adults or teens.

Was that a short summary? It was even longer than it needed to be. Why did the summary not even need to be three sentences? Because this should have been a novella. It’s not really a full book.

Really, the point of this book was to bridge Men of Inked: Southside (Chicago Gallos) to Men of Inked: Heatwave (the second generation). Most of the kids from Men of Inked are grown up and they are the ones that make up the storyline for Men of Inked: Heatwave, as well as the kids from Men of Inked: Southside.

There isn’t really any drama and there isn’t a major storyline - just the families coming together and showing the reader where everyone is at before Men of Inked: Heatwave starts.

On that note, the book was just meh. It could have been a novella, and therefore, skipped. I don’t really read novellas. So if you wanted the ancillary information, you could read it, but if you don’t, then you can skip it. Which dubs it a novella, to me. It’s not essential to the overall main storylines.

That being said, the beginning of the story, the bachelorette party, is really good and it’s funny.

The ending of this book is a nice way to wrap up the Men of Inked: Southside series as well as set up for Men of Inked: Heatwave. You just get a slight glimpse into where everyone is now and where the next series might be heading.

However, you could get through all the books and every series without even reading this one. It’s just not necessary and it wasn’t a great book. Which is a bummer because I rated all the other books in this series really high.
