Lily Gallo is a sweet innocent girl who starts working at her family’s tattoo shop, Inked, after dropping out of school. SURPRISE! Her high school crush, Jett, comes in after having been away in the Navy for years. After piercing his… unmentionables… the two decide to be roomies to save on rent. What starts out as a friendly arrangement becomes something more as they come to terms with their feelings for one another.

Just as a note to start off, the epilogue from Wildfire is the first chapter of Blaze. I don’t know why, but I feel like mentioning that.

So, Jett comes into Inked to get his junk pierced. And Lily is the piercer. The whole entire scene is freaking hilarious.

Even with the ding dong piercing, the whole storyline is so sweet and wholesome. Everything about Jett and Lily is so natural and adorable. Lily and Jett were childhood friends that were separated by growing up but she’s always crushed on him. Watching them grow with each other was so beautiful.

You have to admire a man going after a Gallo chick. Lily is full on Gallo in every sense and it brings Jett to his knees.

Lily is actually charming with her innocence and her spitfire in equal parts. Her character is more believable and realistic than some of the other characters throughout the Men of Inked world. Jett is obviously experienced with women but it’s fun to watch Lily throw him for loop after loop. They are both so far out of their comfort zone, it’s fantastic.

Throughout the first scenes of them together, Jett’s manhood is still healing and those interactions are just priceless.

In case it hasn’t been clear, the whole book is laugh out loud entertainment. Even the side characters are a crack up. I truly enjoyed this read so much. Its light, sweet, friends-to-lovers storyline is just down right enjoyable. Even the spice is more sweet than spicy given that innocent Lily is a virgin.

Wholesome. Endearing. Fun.
