TheStory
Rivals Willow and Ryan end up in a sassy debate on stage at a conference. Ryan is a “love coach” and Willow is a romance author. Needless to say, Willow believes Ryan is full of it, and she makes that abundantly clear on stage.
During their argument, Ryan challenges Willow to date him for three months (the length of his teaching course). If she doesn’t fall in love with him, he will quit his coaching and admit that his program doesn’t work.
TheReview
This whole story was so stinking cute.
Ryan and Willow have the best banter. I loved watching them volley back and forth. But it ultimately resulted in a beautiful love story.
In a twist to the “game,” Willow has a major family incident throw a wrench in the plans. This could have easily been a run-of-the-mill rivals to lovers story. But it wasn’t that simple and it wasn’t basic. It was completely different from the standard stories that are similar. It was sweet and beautiful and heart breaking.
I was fully invested in these two as characters. Ugh. I felt everything they felt. I even cried once.
The epilogue was the most precious story ever. This one was my favorite book of the series. It keeps you on your toes, keeps you invested, and honestly, it made me want even more of them. It was amazing.
