This is Kai’s story of how he met Banks, Damon’s half sister. Six years ago, Kai met Banks for the first time at a mysterious hotel. 

After a chance encounter, both of their worlds flip sideways and all hell breaks loose. Damon is now on a warpath, and Kai and Banks are right in the danger zone.

At the very least, we are getting some light shed onto Damon’s past and why he is an effed up little SOB.

At most, the storyline is good and Banks is very lovable as a character. She’s a badass who grew up from the mousy little girl she was in high school into the woman she is now. But she breaks down at the weirdest stuff. It seems like her character is trying to be dynamic but it just comes off as disconnected.

The build up to the confrontation with Damon was super anticlimactic. Like no one got murdered?! I get it was setting up for Damon’s book but it was really just totally off the cuff. It was like the storyline got written into a corner and just slapped something together.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I’m just not sure because, just like in Corrupt, the storyline was good but it just seemed so haphazardly written. It was hard to get into. But Banks was a good character. But she was also weirdly written. I don’t know… It’s definitely not in the four star category. 

Maybe a three star? 

Or two star? 

Ugh! We’re gonna call it three stars because it was better than Corrupt but still not great. 

P.S. IS EVERYONE A RAPIST IN THIS TOWN?! SERIOUSLY! Every time a girl is alone, suddenly it’s open season to the rapists? But not to worry, their MMC is always there… somehow… to rescue them. 

P.P.S. There is a short scene for Kill Switch that is NOT in the actual Kill Switch and now I’m scare to read Damon’s story. Woof. Damon is seriously demented.
