TheStory
Vaughan Thompson returns to the family farm to help save it. Upon his arrival, he meets Jo, the woman working on the family farm to help keep it alive. While everyone else loves her, Vaughan finds her to be a tiny, evil little woman. The two clash over plans for the family farm. But while fighting back and forth, there is also an attraction that can’t be denied.
Neither one thinks they are the problem, but both are willing to go to extreme lengths to make the other get out of their way.
TheReview
This book is everything I want in an enemies to lovers romance. The back and forth pranks and banter are so freaking funny. There is all the tension, lust, obsession, etc. is sooooo hilarious to read. Vaughan and Jo legitimately hate each other and do everything they can to get under each others’ skin - petty or otherwise. It’s the best.
Jo is a badass and Vaughan is a complete tool. But their chemistry is amazing. I loved both of the characters equally and they actually do a really good job of annoying the bajesus out of each other. The back and forth, pranks, digs, and torture is amazing. They legitimately cannot stand each other, and they do everything to prove it and get the other to yield.
I just loved everything about this book. Enemies to lovers is totally my jam and Maggie Gates did a great job of writing it well. Obsessed.
