Grumpy and cynical cowboy and rach owner CJ find Lennon, his one night stand, running the restaurant he hates that now sits on his land. The two start a war with each other that neither one is prepared to finish.

After several battles and a realization that Lennon isn’t the monster he thinks she is, CJ pulls his head out of his behind, and starts to work with her instead of against her.

CJ is so mad at the world and Lennon has a past that has made her distrusting of everyone and everything. And thus, the enemies to lovers romance is born. 

I love them! Both CJ and Lennon are super similar and oh so damaged. Their fights when they are still in the “enemies” stage of enemies to lovers is hilarity. Once they get to the “lovers” part of enemies to lovers, it becomes wonderfully sweet and gushy. 

I am an enemies to lovers girlie until the day I die and this one hit. It was a wonderful mix of hate and fighting with sweet and loving, even though their relationship didn’t have the most natural start. 

Lennon’s past is really the catalyst for all the drama and watching CJ be a MAN about it is… just… daddy vibes. 

Overall a good story. If enemies to lovers is your vibe, it’s a great read.
