After heading back to the family farm to help her father, Abbi now has to work day in and day out with Jed while Henry travels about for business. To say it’s a strain on their relationship would be an understatement.

With everyone putting doubt in Abbi’s ear, the media covering Henry’s life, her mother’s lack of approval, and Jed trying to win her back, Abbi’s confidence in their relationship is completely lacking.

With everything trying to separate them, Abbi needs to know how Henry feels. But he can’t just come right out and say it. So what now?

This book is aaaaall the drama. We love it. The first half is a lot of drama at home for Abbi. The poor girl can’t catch a break between her mother (bad mommy), Jed (just ew), and the town. But Henry certainly tries his best to show her how he feels.

The second half has a lot more spice and more Henry. So we love that, too.

The story is the classic big city man, small town woman story. He is busy and traveling around and she’s stuck in her small town with small minded people. No wonder the girl is reeling.

Especially with Henry. He is completely incapable of offering reassurances or security in their relationship. She’s extremely insecure and whiny but with good reason.

And she does finally gain some teeth, which is nice to see, no matter how tiny they are.

This book is basically a huge test of their relationship. Whether or not they can find a way to be together and overcome all of their clear faults and idiocy (on both sides).

It kept me hooked for sure and I loved the storyline. Some of the spicy scenes are really weird but I think it’s mostly because sharing and voyeurism is just not my thing. Still loved the book. The ending set up for the next book super well, too.
