Following the death of Henry’s father, Abbi leaves her family’s farm to help him handle things. The two of them must deal with the death, family drama, and the family businesses.

But there are more players in the game than they expected - Henry’s brother, Scott, is being shady, his estranged mother comes back for her secretive reasons, and a mistress involved in the death comes to the funeral.

And everything blows up from all directions.

This one was definitely on the less exciting side for me.

The funeral was wild. The Scott thing was insanity. And the ending was bananas. But everything in between was meh. It was more about the developing relationships and handling family business.

There are a few big drama bombs but not much going on in between. There are, of course, a lot of wild and spicy scenes. Lots of voyeurism and multiple partners.

I haven’t totally felt the chemistry between Henry and Abbi until this book so I liked their relationship in this book better than the others.

I’m not the biggest fan of the series’ romance/spice style but I’m still enjoying it.

I like the love and appreciation and acceptance that Henry and Abbi find in each other. Even though it’s not my yum, I still rate it highly. I like the writing, the relationship, and the dramatic bits.
