TheStory

Nevin Walsh gets released from prison after his brother finally confesses to a crime that Nevin took the blame for 10 years ago. Back in the real world and completely lost, Luna Gallo, his brother’s best friend, swoops in and makes him her personal mission.

Although Nevin does everything he can to push her away and be alone, Luna refuses to let him give up on life. She’s a wild ball of sunshine with light that won’t be dimmed. When he finally gives in and tries to be nice, their relationship takes a dramatic turn.

Right. off. the. bat. I looooooved Nevin. He is a legit tool and he’s super snotty and rude. Buuuut… don’t we love a grumpy man?! He is legitimately grumpy and mean, not the annoying fake kind that’s just for the sake of a story. And he just got out of freaking PRISON. So, it makes sense he’d be angry.

Luna has rainbows and butterflies shooting out of every single hole in her body. Which, normally I despise. However, the way she is was not the normal “sunshine” in a “grumpy/sunshine.” Basically, she wasn’t annoying. She’s fierce and loyal and just has an overall positive outlook on life. She’s a genuinely good person.

Both the romance and the drama flowed really well together. Coming off the heels of the first Walsh brother, Nevin’s story slaps in much the same way.

It is a fantastic read. I couldn’t put it down, and when I did, it was filling my brain. I thought about it nonstop. I just love a broken boy and a girl who wants to fix him (but won’t be a doormat).

*Side Note - SPOILER*

Did we 100% just glaze over the fact that Rosie spilled the beans about Ian and Luna hooking up right in front of Nevin?! He definitely was never told that but it seemed like it was just common knowledge. I definitely was waiting for a fight to break out but no… We just move on like it never happened. Missed drama opportunity there… but okay… Now, I’m done.
