TheStory
When Indy’s Multiple Sclerosis relapse leaves her unable to climb stairs, she needs to find a more accessible place to live. Without necessarily wanting to, Derek, Mr. Grumpy Tattoo Artist, moves her into his place. Derek wants zero connections to people after his failed marriage over twenty years ago and Inday has no desire to “burden” anyone with her or her illness. But fate has other plans as Little Miss Sunshine grows on Derek.
TheReview
Okay, so it’s grumpy sunshine but it is absolutely hilarious. Are you ready for the most beautiful love story you’ve read recently?
Indy is trying her best to live with her MS and keep a positive attitude with a degenerative disease. But she also has a darkness in her that she tries to keep at bay at all times. Derek has a bad attitude and is insanely grumpy. But somehow, he pushes away Indy’s dark thoughts, as she does the same for him.
While it is a ridiculously sweet romance, it also had me busting out laughing. Truly, this is one of those books that makes you actually laugh out loud like a weirdo. Derek is definitely a buttmunch but INdy plays into it, creating the best banter.
I kind of love Derek’s attitude. He just loves his stuff (minimal as it may be), his routine, and he can’t handle the insanity that is Indy. It just gave me all the butterflies every time these two talked to each other.
That’s really all there is to say about it. Beyond sweet and heartwarming while also having the best comedic relief. Ash was my favorite book so far but this one might surpass it. I mean does it really get better than a twenty year age gap, daddy vibes, and a praise kink? I guess it depends on my mood each day when I think about them. And I do think about them. Constantly.

“...it’s all been ripped away from me by this tiny, raven-haired woman. A tiny, raven-haired woman that smells like purity and peace, and has a voice like a saint and the ass of a sinner.”
“Indy is so goddamn adorable it pisses me off.”
“I thought I hated it when Indy was there. Now I’m looking for the same dryer sheets she used on my clothes, and I still can’t figure out which one it was. I’m convinced she just sat in there and sang to my underwear during the spin cycle because nothing I use gives me the same comfort.”
