TheStory

Although Michael Gallo works as a piercer at Inked, he spends most of his time training to be an MMA fighter. When he goes to get patched up at the hospital he meets Mia, the doctor working on his broken ribs. After initially turning him down for a date, the two literally bump into each other.

While fate seems to be shoving them together, someone from Michael’s past is trying to pull them apart. So the question is whether they will work to be together or let outside circumstances ruin what they are building.

Talk about opposites! This book was hilarious. A doctor and someone who gets beat up for a living? Perfect.

There was a scene right in the beginning with the girls chatting back and forth that had me literally crying laughing. I even read it to a friend of mine sitting with me because it was so funny and he laughed out loud. So the side relationships are a great addition to this book.

Both Michael and Mia are stubborn but also witty enough to be a great match. Their back-and-forth makes for fun banter.

“Snicker’s Bar Tammy” (read book for reference) was a surprisingly good addition. An ex trying to stay in the picture can be so hard to add to a book without making it *eye roll emoji* inducing. At one point, I was actually a little freaked out by her.

So the book had great aspects that made it a really enjoyable read. Very well written. Cute, quick read with some exciting bits thrown in for good measure.
