In a classic story of forbidden love, Daphne and Leo are the daughter and son of rival Chicago crime bosses. Even that rivalry can’t stop the draw Leo and Daphne have to one another.

After literally running into each other, sparky fly. Damning the consequences, Leo pursues Daphne. But the consequences are real. As with any forbidden romance, the challenges might be enough to damn them both.

Suuuuch a slow burrrrrn. Say it with me: “We love enemies to lovers!” GAH! It’s just so good.

As the second Gallo lady we get a book about, Daphne is strong, stubborn, and takes no crap from anyone. In a similar fashion, Leo is a bull-headed alpha male. They. Just. WORK! Any Gallo girl needs a tough man to handle them. And Leo is certainly that.

Chelle Bliss just knows how to make a girl fall in love.

Fast paced story, strong romance, and two lovable characters. What could we not love? The second half is even filled with twists and drama - the bread and butter of any contemporary romance.

In addition, this one could be read solely as a standalone and you wouldn’t feel like you missed out on any information from the previous book.

Definitely recommend.
